Meet the new faculty members for 2016-2017

At the recent Food Chain Cluster staff meeting on May 16th, 2017, Kelly Wade (CAO) presented an overview of the new faculty members that came on board 2016-2017 for the departments of Animal Science and Nutrition.

Eight new faculty members joined the department of Animal Science and four have joined the department of Nutrition.  Many faculty have already started and are housed in their offices and labs and others will be moving to campus in the coming months.

New Online Survey Tool Available at UC Davis

UCD now has access to an online survey tool named Qualtrics.  Qualtrics is similar to SurveyMonkey and is available to UCD faculty, students, and staff at no cost.  If you have been using SurveyMonkey (or another online survey tool), you may want to consider switching to Qualtrics.   For those of you who do human subjects studies, please note that the campus Qualtrics team has indicated that use of Qualtrics might be possible for some human subject data, but its use would need to be explicitly approved in your IRB protocol.   To sign up to use the tool, just go to:  

Leslie Oberholtzer receives campus Safety Star Recognition Award

Congratulations to Leslie Oberholtzer who received the campus Safety Star Recognition Award! This award was established by campus to recognize campus employees making a contribution to improve the culture of safety at UC Davis. Leslie is the Safety Coordinator for the department of Animal Science. She joined the department in 2014.
